2015 Seminar Goodbye Poem

Class of 2015
Senior Poem
BY: Sara Jordan

8:00 A.M. August, 2011- you entered my room C104- young, excited with a little fear,
But that was to be expected because… it was Freshmen year!

Challenging classes with new friends to make;
Clubs, sports and fun, filled your days,
then seminar came and yup.. it’s a reading day.

Some days you were reluctant, but that’s okay
because we will just read another day!

Those quiet scared faces sitting in that first pep assembly
is clearly marked in my memory.

It’s not always easy being a freshmen,
when everyone is older and very loud,
Oh how things changed Sophomore year when you were no longer the youngest in the crowd.

Sophomore year brought new learning adventures
AP, CAHSEE, CST and PST were all part of our seminar venture.

As we welcomed baby Alex and said goodbye to our carpet room,
C214 became a new place for you to bloom.

Half way through, the hardest year yet
AP Classes, SAT, college and career planning… Ready Set!

 It’s finally here,
SENIOR YEAR!

Work, Work, Work,
consuming college applications and big decisions,
but you never lost sight of your vision.

No matter where you choose or the direction you go
You WILL be a success this I know!

Senior Activities, dances, assemblies,
prom and graduation are some of the favorite memories!

Oh how the time flew!
We know this because I’m reading this poem to you,
and the year is almost through.

As you sit at graduation and wait to hear your name,
Remember of all you learned and experienced and that you are part of the Jaguar Hall of Fame.

I wish you could stay forever, but you are off to bigger and better!

The road ahead isn’t always easy, but stay on path and do not get uneasy.

When you feel doubt, don’t shout or pout…
keep moving forward going all out!

Have courage and resilience
and never forget PERSEVERANCE!

You can do anything, I believe in you…
so stand strong, and always do your best
Remember you are a jewel in our community Chest!

Class of 2015
I will miss you! I know you are going to do amazing things to make our world a better place!
